University of Calcutta invites applications for admissions to PhD programme 2017

The University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata has invited applications for admissions to PhD programme in Environmental Science offered at the Department of Environmental Science for the commencing academic 2017.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Aspiring candidates need to possess a Master's degree in Environmental Science and allied subjects from a recognised university/institute  with at least 55 per cent in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

Selection Procedure:

The admission procedure consists of a Research Eligibility Test (RET) followed by an interview for candidates successful in the same.

The applicants who have cleared UGC/CSIR (JRF) examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET/GATE or have obtained DST INSPIRE Fellowship/Teacher fellowship or have passed equivalent examinations or passed the MPhil/ MTech/ M.D/ ME/ MPharm or equivalent examination shall not be required to appear at the PhD entrance test.

Application Fee:

Candidates need to pay Rs. 100 for each application form.
